When undertaking services for your home or farm, Kimaculla will first collect information of bores in your local area, considering geological factors, safe access, power or other underground services.

If required hydro geological and geophysical consultants can be arranged to provide a report on a site. Aerial images of proposed bore sites are used to identify fault lines and the most ideal spot for bore locations. Your preference may even to use a water diviner to assist you to select a site or you may just be happy to discuss different sites with Neil Weber or our qualified drillers.

Licensing

Before we can do a test bore or hole on your land to decide on the depths and feasibility of a bore all landholders are required by law to obtain a licence. Kimaculla Drilling is happy to assist you with obtaining a licence at no additional cost to you.

Test Hole Versus Production Bore

A test hole will show the depth and feasibility of a bore, it shows the flow rates and aquifers intercepted, we have different rates for test hole versus production bores with it being in our interest to locate water. If the results are favourable our drillers can design and construct a production bore with the most appropriate casing type, screens & filter gravel that will allow your bore to operate most efficiently for the longest period of time.

Because ground water is located at different depths & in varying soil or geological formations in different areas each bore is designed specifically for each location with costs varying accordingly. The development time of bores can take just hours or weeks depending on depth and location. The amount of gravel packing required annulus of the bore can vary. Bores are cased in PVC, steel or stainless steel depending on the environmental & natural chemical factors affecting your bore.

All bore works are carried out by licenced drillers with workmanship and materials used to construct your bores being guaranteed.
